The Isla Necklace features a sumptuous mix of deep blue, sea green, and warm brown gemstone hand wrapped with sterling silver and a touch of gold.
The centerpiece of this elegant gemstone necklace is a flashy labradorite stone set in an 18k gold vermeil (gold over sterling silver) bezel that I lightly wrapped with sterling silver wire. A deep blue faceted quartz briolette, wrapped with silver, dangles from the labradorite stone. The chain of the necklace was created by hand wrapping each individual stone with sterling silver wire - light green amethyst, gray and blue labradorite, warm caramel brown tigers eye, sea green moss aquamarine, golden pyrite, inky blue iolite, and london blue topaz - and sections of sterling silver chain. Around each trio of london blue topaz, I added a wrapping of 14k gold fill wire. The necklace closes with a spring clasp and is approximately 24 inches long. The pendant is just under 2 inches long. For an aged feel, I oxidized the silver and then lightly buffed it by hand.
