Work in progress. Archer Earrings.

October 26, 2013

My son had to be at school early this morning to participate in the UIL competition for marching band.  They made it into the finals - yay! - but will have to compete again tonight for a place in the state competition.  Its been a long anxious day!  Keeping fingers crossed!

Since his band didn't compete the first time until late afternoon, I was able to sneak in some time in the studio.  First up was another pair of Archer Earrings (in the above in progress pic).  I really love this design especially the mix of london blue topaz with olive green quartz. Best of all, I got to sneak in a work in progress pic that included my vintage teacups!

I love vintage china.... I'm obsessed with it. I've been collecting vintage dishes for the last 20 years. Needless to say I have a lot of it.  I buy what I love, what's pretty to me, and I use it. The lovely teacups above hold onto my gems when I switch between projects and don't want to take the time to clean up before moving on.

I finished up a couple of other pieces that I will be sharing in the next couple of days.  Till then, I've got to go cheer my baby on in the finals!  Go Bears!
